Belmond Charleston Place
You can't beat the location of the Belmond Charleston Place. It is centered in the historic district and is within walking distance to all the shopping, best restaurants, and some of the classic tours (Ghost Tours, Horse and Carriage, Rainbow Row, Battery Park).

The main reason why we stayed here was not only the location, but also because they are PET FRIENDLY. They were able to accommodate both Ellie and Bruiser, who by the second day could navigate their way back to our hotel room.  However, even though they are both potty trained, the ENTIRE hotel was carpeted. So that made us a little nervous.

We were able to enjoy the pool (which had a retractable roof), the hot tub, and also the fitness center (that had a peloton). See the video tour below.

Our friends also suggested the Restoration which is a little more modern. Belmond Charleston Place is very old money nice, which for some reason makes Matt a little uncomfortable. He likes to wear his shorts, t shirts and flip flops so I guess being in a more "modern" hotel, even if the cost is the same, makes him feel more comfortable.

Coffee/Breakfast
  • Bitty and Beau's:  It's an experience. The shop is run by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You are guaranteed to walk out with smile on your face.

While there, you HAVE to eat at Northstar Cafe. They have Counter Culture coffee, they have amazing pastries, and their pancakes and proscuitto toast are to DIE for. One of my favorite brunch places ever!

You'll notice the pimiento cheese and blueberry buckle - those are good ones to take home with you to eat and snack on or for the ride home

My attempt to be artistic. LOL.

We took it upon ourselves to do a coffee tasting.

Tour of the Float Spa

On this visit we also decided to try out the FLOAT SPA. About that. I may not be returning, but Matt might give it another try.

The myth: You enter an alternative state of reality
The truth: I couldn't stop thinking

The myth: You feel eternally relaxedwww.truerest.com/locations/easton/
The truth: I felt claustrophobic

The myth: It helps with chronic pain
The truth: I couldn't stop thinking about my ear pain from the pressure, how I couldn't breathe because my nose was stuffy, and the how nauseous I felt.

Matt on the other hand experienced all the myths. LOL. You got a 50/50 chance guys. You decide.
